Perhaps our conference leadership could encourage the Governor to support tort reform limiting the "legal" settlements which are driving so much of this problem. I would call it the "Bart Durham demands it" bill. If the church would support the limiting of lawsuit settlements, and the legislature pass laws "demanding it", the state could afford to insure more people!
